Your responsibilities

  • You improve our electricity price forecasts by creating tailored macroeconomic models for deeper market insights
  • You develop detailed sector-specific demand models and long-term gas and CO₂ price forecasts
  • You lead the creation of forward-looking macroeconomic indicators and expand market intelligence for our building and infrastructure services
  • Your creativity enhances our market models using advanced economic methods to boost forecast accuracy
  • You provide valuable insights to top management, analyzing business models, technologies, and products for strategic decisions
  • You help build a macroeconomic KPI database that serves as a knowledge center for our models

Your strengths

  • Your university degree in economics provides an excellent foundation for a deep understanding of market mechanisms and economic theories essential for modeling macroeconomic developments
  • Your passion for data science, combined with strong Python skills, enables you to perform complex data analyses and modeling
  • Your expertise in investment calculations, risk assessments, probability distributions, or economic value enhances our contributions to BKW's decision-making and public relations
  • You excel at creating visually appealing presentations of results and possess strong communication skills in both German and English
  • Professional experience or solid knowledge in the energy or gas sector is a definite advantage
